Teacher will not be charged for having sex with 3 students

    Posted on July 2, 2014

The State Attorney’s Office announced Friday it would not be pursuing sexual battery charges against former Taylor County High School teacher Christine Bennett, who admitted to having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Evidence in the case later showed her involvement with three male students.

In Friday’s press release, officials citied Florida Statute 794.05, which states it is unlawful for a person 24 years of age or older to have sexual activity with a minor 16 or 17 years of age.
