    $127,000 dirt removal, sod replacement project nearing completion

    A Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) contractor is nearing completion of a $127,088.72 project to remove built-up dirt along three main throughways in Perry.

    Crews have been removing excess material (dirt) along U.S. 19, U.S. 27 and U.S. 221 as a safety measure to prevent water from running off the built-up areas back into the roadway, FDOT District Two Public Information Director Gina Busscher said.
