Taylor County’s unemployment rate rose to 6.9 percent in May after falling to the lowest rate in nearly six years in April.
The county’s rate was 6.5 percent in April after dropping from 7.3 in March. April’s rate was the lowest rate since June 2008 when it was 6.1 percent.
