Sonya Sadler, a language arts and social studies teacher at Taylor County High School (TCHS), has been selected by Georgia-Pacific (GP) to attend the Bill of Rights Institute’s “2014 Founders Fellowship” conference July 14-18 in Washington, D.C.

Aimed at civics, history, government and economics teachers, one of the program’s goals is to help students understand the Constitution and the freedoms and opportunities it provides. The Founders Fellowship conference offers lectures by constitutional scholars and classroom lessons on topics including property and commerce and the Constitution, public policy debates about central economic planning, and Supreme Court decisions regarding property rights, among others.
