The Florida Legislature passed more than 100 laws this past spring, and many of them went into effect last week for the first time, including a ban on selling e-cigarettes to minors and a prohibition against insurance companies from denying coverage because a person owns a gun.
The changes in Florida law which went into effect on July 1 include:
• Under Senate Bill 224, it is now unlawful to sell e-cigarettes to minors, bringing the devices in line with existing bans on tobacco products.
