In the past two years, there has been more than $660,000 in private and public investment pumped into Downtown Perry and during that time the area has seen a net increase of eight new businesses and 24 new jobs.

Main Street Perry Program Director Tracey Smith presented the news to both the Taylor County Commission and Perry City Council this week in a series of presentations which served as an annual update for Main Street as well as a farewell tour for Smith, whose last day with the organization is today (Friday, July 11).
