Sadler candidacy dispute with city heading to court?

Former City Council Candidate Carl Sadler, whom the council did not qualify as a candidate in the city’s District 4 race last month, is prepared to take his case to court after the council refused to reconsider its previous decision this week.

That is according to local attorney Sally Roberts, who told council members during their meeting Tuesday that she is representing Sadler. At the meeting, she addressed the council during the public requests period, requesting they reconsider the decision made during their June 24 meeting in which the council voted 3-2 against qualifying Sadler as a candidate after questions arose about his residency within District 4.
