District puts binder on land for new school

With Taylor County School District officials set to make their case in two weeks for state funding to construct a new Perry Primary School (PPS), the school board has entered into a contract to purchase a parcel of property adjacent to Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) for the proposed new school.

The property in question, located directly north of TCES on Howard Street, is owned by The Clark Properties of Taylor County, LLC, and the approved selling price is $230,000.
