FEMA tells county ‘no’

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has denied a state request seeking federal individual assistance for property owners in Taylor County who were affected by this spring’s widespread flooding.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management and Gov. Rick Scott made the request for Taylor and Gilchrist counties on June 6.
