Red Cross training slated Aug. 16 in Steinhatchee

The Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer free disaster overview and client casework training in Steinhatchee Saturday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The training session will be held at Steinhatchee Community Center (1013 Riverside Drive).

Disaster Action Team members who have not attended this class are encouraged to sign up. Interested persons not already registered as a volunteer with the American Red Cross must complete a volunteer application at redcross.org and have background check cleared prior to attending the training.
