    Attorneys for city seek to dismiss Holton lawsuit

    Attorneys representing the City of Perry and City Manager Bob Brown are awaiting a ruling on their motion to dismiss an (amended) federal complaint filed by city council candidate (Dist. 5) Tonya Holton alleging violations of her first amendment rights as well as persecution as a self-proclaimed “whistle-blower.”

    Holton, a former member of the city’s Planning & Zoning Board, Code of Enforcement Board, Board of Adjustment and Tree Board, filed the lawsuit in late March seeking $75,000 in damages.
