Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose Plant recently donated $1,000 and three laptop computers to the Taylor Senior Citizens Center (TSCC). “Georgia-Pacific and the Foley Cellulose Mill take great pleasure in supporting our senior citizens and the staff of the TSCC,” said Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon. “TSCC provides fun, social activities, and exercise for people who are very dear to us in the community. I enjoyed visiting with the staff and their commitment to our senior citizens is obvious when you meet them. I look forward to working with each of them in the future.”
According to TSCC Executive Director Beth Flowers, the donation went toward the organization’s annual senior prom, an event she says senior citizens look forward to every year. “TSCC is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services throughout Taylor County,” Flowers said. “It is with community donations like this that TSCC can continue to serve our local seniors and help them age with dignity, security and purpose. Thank you Georgia-Pacific and Foley Cellulose.”
