Flooding followed by third driest June, July on record

Over the past two years, much of Taylor County has received between 30 to 50 inches more rainfall than average, even taking into account this past June and July, which were among the driest months on record.

The latest hydrology figures were presented to the Taylor County Commission on Tuesday by Suwannee River Water Management District Director Dr. Ann Shortelle.
