The Taylor County Commission unanimously agreed to utilize $2 million in excess sales tax revenue to purchase equipment for Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH).
The commission held a public hearing last week on the issue and while a number of hospital representatives were present, no one spoke for or against the purchase. The commission added no additional discussion before Commissioner Jody DeVane made a motion to approve the allocation with a second from Commissioner Jim Moody.
