While local voters faced a short ballot in Tuesday’s Primary Election, the coming General Election promises a number of key local and state issues for residents to decide, including whether or not the school district may continue to levy a .25 mill discretionary tax currently funding numerous teaching positions as well as technology and academic programs for the next four (fiscal) years.
According to forecasts, the tax will generate approximately $310,000 per year for the district.
