Property values increase for first time since 2008

For the first time in six years, the total real property value in Taylor County is projected to increase.

According to preliminary certified values for 2014 released by Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff, Taylor County’s total taxable value (including real property and tangible personal property) is expected to jump 1.84 percent or $23.6 million this year.
