John Edward Mahoney Jr. died Sept. 20, 2014, in the company of his wife and children.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 5 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home (2710 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Robert Lundy Foundation (Buckeye Federal Credit Union, Attn. Robert Lundy Fund, 1825 S. Jefferson St., Perry, FL 32348).
