TCSO aids in heroin ring bust

A burgeoning heroin ring has been shut down thanks to the efforts of the Taylor County Task Force (TCSO) and Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

“Given the close ties Madison and Taylor County have, we are always happy and willing to assist the MCSO. In this case, investigators received information that heroin—which prior to this had not been available—was suddenly on the market. We helped the investigation by making a numerous controlled (drug) purchases, developing information and surveillance. Then, we assisted by helping execute arrest warrants and search warrants,” TCSO Capt. Ron Rice said.
