Internet cafe days numbered?

The days of so-called “internet cafes” here in Taylor County and across the state may be numbered, with the Florida Legislature working to pass a bill regarding the prohibition of electronic gambling devices.

There are currently three such establishments, also known as sweepstakes centers, open in Taylor County. Two are located inside the City of Perry which passed an ordinance in June 2011 regulating their location as well as placing requirements on their operation.
