Council backs BioNitrogen, moves forward with funding

In what may one day be considered a “pivotal moment in the City of Perry’s history,” council members voted Thursday evening to move forward with their backing of BioNitrogen and reinstated the release of some $5 million in development funds to the start-up venture.

The company is looking to locate a $300 million plant here and the city’s $5 million loan guarantee is part of a comprehensive incentive package offered by the city, county and local development authority.
