Residents want to extend driving hours

Residents in Steinhatchee may soon be allowed to drive golf carts at night, after Taylor County Commissioners agreed to consider changing the ordinance governing golf cart usage in the community.

Several Steinhatchee residents first approached the commission Tuesday, Sept. 16, requesting the change. Currently, the ordinance states golf carts may only be operated between sunrise and sunset.
