Proposed new primary school not included in DOE budget

While Florida Department of Education’s (DOE) Special Facilities Construction Committee recommended the Taylor County School District’s proposal for a new Perry Primary School be included in the agency’s 2014-15 budget, the line item was not part of the Commissioner of Education’s proposed budget.

According to Taylor County Superintendent Paul Dyal, none of the four projects recommended by the Special Facilities committee this year were included in the commissioner’s budget, which was released recently and will be submitted to the governor to become part of his proposed state budget.
