Fire Chief McAfee to retire after 25 years

Taylor County Fire Chief Carl McAfee is retiring today (Friday), closing a more-than-25-year career with Taylor County Fire- Rescue.

Last week, the Taylor County Commission unanimously approved a proclamation recognizing McAfee’s service to the people of Taylor County. The board is expected to present the proclamation to McAfee during their meeting on Monday, Nov. 3.
