With Sunday, Nov. 2, marking the end of Daylight Savings Time, public safety officials remind everyone that in addition to turning back their clocks one hour, this is a good time to change the batteries in their smoke detectors.
National statistics show that more than 95 percent of U.S. households have at least one smoke alarm installed, however, only 75 percent of all homes have a working smoke alarm.
