    ELECTION 2014: School board referendum passes

    During Tuesday’s General Election, Taylor County voters granted the school board the authority to levy a .25 mill critical needs property tax for another four years.

    According to unofficial election results, the referendum passed 53.8 percent to 46.2 percent.

    The unofficial results included returns from all 14 precincts as well as early voting and absentee ballots, but did not include provisional ballots. According to election officials, there were 23 provisions this election.
