A Perry man had a close call Friday morning, Nov. 7, after pulling into the path of a loaded, on-coming log truck.
Timothy James Roach, 53, sustained minor injuries and was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper M.A. Kennard reported Roach was in the paved median of U.S. 19 around 6:30 a.m., headed toward the parking lot of Noved Gas Mart when he drove directly into the path of a 1999 Mack truck driven by Thomas David Thomley, 56, also of Perry.
