Cherished traditions returned and new memories were made during the annual Downtown Christmas Open House Friday, Dec. 5.
Red flashing lights heralded the arrival of Santa Claus perched atop a city firetruck. The jolly old fella paraded down Jefferson Street, circled the courthouse and landed at Katie’s Courtyard to the cheers and squeals of eager children each waiting for their turn to sit in Santa’s lap and whisper their Christmas wishes.

Hundreds of children and their families visited Santa both at Katie’s Courtyard and Zeigler’s Florist during the annual Downtown Christmas Open House.
