Jess to compete at Westminster

In a history-making move, a dog owned by local residents will represent Taylor County at the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in New York City, N.Y.

Jess, formally known as GCH CH Southern Jes A Lit’l Hunting Sensation JH, was awarded Grand Champion Select for her breed Saturday, Dec. 13, at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship in Orlando.

PHOTO: Jess, a wire-haired pointing Griffon, has won several ‘best in breed’ awards. She will compete at Westminster in February.
