Man ‘serious’ after crash

A Perry man was airlifted to an area hospital Friday after sustaining serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash.

Stanely Wayne McElveen, 38, was driving a 2005 GMC truck when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree. The crash happened around 2:56 p.m. on Davis Walker Road at U.S. 19.
