Taylor natives named to top state jobs

With Gov. Rick Scott shuffling his team in preparation for the start of his second term in office next month, two Taylor County natives had their names called this week to fill state-wide positions.

Chad Poppell was appointed secretary of the Department of Management Services while Rick Swearingen was named interim commissioner of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
