School district will have to re-apply for stewardship of Head Start program

The Taylor County School District will have to re-apply for its contract to administer the local Head Start program for the first time since 1993.

According to Head Start Director Eric Scott, the program failed to meet one of three thresholds on the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), based on a site visit audit conducted in November 2013.
