Man tries to run over officers with vehicle

A 24-year-old Perry man was arrested on multiple felony accounts after he attempted to run over several officers with his
vehicle and then led law enforcement units on a chase throughout the city Monday night.

Darrius Beasley is being held on a $139,500 bond at the Taylor County Jail on charges of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers with a motor vehicle, fleeing/attempting to elude police officers, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of less than 20 grams cannabis, trafficking in cocaine, driving with license suspended (DWLS) and failure to appear (FTA).
