Hearing for fired trooper slated May 2

An evidentiary hearing on an appeal filed by former Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper Charles Swindle will be held before the state Public Employee Relations Committee (PERC) May 2 in Tallahassee.

Swindle filed an appeal last week regarding his firing that stemmed from a November 2012 traffic stop of state Rep. Charles McBurney (R-Jacksonville).
