Improvements to Perry’s Highway 19 corridor continued Tuesday with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) crews planting palm trees in the medians. Dozens of palms have been planted in the past week and additional landscaping (junipers) will be added in the coming days. The project is part of a trio of improvements FDOT has green-lighted for Highway 19, including landscaping in front of Taylor Technical Institute and the placement of a new “City of Perry” sign at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Main Street.
