Governor’s budget includes $5.8 million for new primary school here

When Florida Governor Rick Scott released his 2015-16 state budget last week, there was a pleasant surprise for the Taylor County School District within its many pages: $5.8 million was included for the district’s proposed new Perry Primary School (PPS).

The PPS project was one of three new construction projects listed in Scott’s proposed budget that had been left out of the commissioner of education’s recommended budget released last fall.
