A local business which opened under the assumption it met the newly-adopted requirements that allow restaurants to serve alcohol on Sundays was shut down by police this past Sunday and is now asking for consideration by the Perry City Council.
Marlon Hilson, owner of Cypress Mill Package & Grill (located in the building which formerly housed Perry Package and Spring Creek Lounge), appeared before the council Tuesday asking members to consider amending the ordinance to recognize the alcohol/restaurant license his business currently holds.
