JROTC hosts Major Awards Day March 18

Taylor County JROTC will be conducting its annual Major Awards Day on Wednesday, March 18, at the high school gymnatorium.

“The community is invited to attend and we encourage everyone to be there by 9:20 a.m. as the ceremony will begin at 9:35 a.m. Cadets will receive awards for their academics, the ability to work as a team, leadership and even their outdoor skills. The JROTC Corps of Cadets will all be active participants in the ceremony,” 1SG (Ret.) Eddie L. Smith said.

Representatives from local veterans groups who plan on attending to present awards are asked to contact Smith at 838-2525, ext. 125.
