With two bridge replacement projects underway in Taylor County already, the Florida Department of Transportation has $16.5 million in bridge projects planned between now and 2019.
According to FDOT Rural Area Transportation Development Engineer Jordan Green, who updated county commissioners on the various projects at their Tuesday March 17 meeting, work on the U.S. 27 Fenholloway River bridge is expected to be completed this summer. Traffic has been diverted to a temporary bridge while the new bridge is being constructed by contractor Anderson Columbia Co., Inc., of Lake City.
