Since the City of Perry and Taylor County entered into a new recreation sports agreement under which the city would provide practice fields and the county would provide game fields at the Taylor County Sports Complex, there have been calls for greater access to the complex’s fields for practices.
Those demands have increased recently, sparking a lengthy discussion at Tuesday night’s county commission meeting about the issue. The only concrete determination seemingly found so far, however, is that there isn’t an easy answer to the question of increased access to the fields and the financial impact that access would have on the county’s budget.
