The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), has arrested George “Billy” Painter IV, 32, and his wife, Pamela Ann Painter, 29, on one count each of attempted felony murder and theft of a controlled substance.
Billy Painter, already in Taylor County Jail on an unrelated charge, was served with an arrest warrant on the new charges. Pamela Painter was arrested at her home in Steinhatchee without incident around 12 noon Wednesday, March 25, and booked into Taylor County Jail.
According to FDLE, the investigation shows that around 4:50 a.m. on March 1, Billy Painter attacked 66-year-old Paul Pridgeon at his Tennille home by hitting him on the head with a tire iron numerous times. While Billy Painter attacked Pridgeon, Pamela Painter allegedly stole between two and three grams of methamphetamine drugs from Pridgeon.
