Sexual abuse awareness advocate Lauren Book will bring her fourth annual “Walk in My Shoes”–a 1,500-mile journey across Florida from the Keys to the Panhandle–to Taylor County when she will join with local organizers Tuesday, April 16, to spread the message that “It’s OK to tell.”
A childhood sexual abuse survivor herself, Book’s goal with Walk in My Shoes is to raise awareness of childhood sexual abuse and promote prevention of sexual abuse through education and awareness, as well as encourage support and passage of legislation designed to protect children from sexual assault.
