By consensus, the Perry City Council agreed Tuesday to allow Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton to advertise a town hall meeting for her district as a city-related workshop, thus circumventing the need to pay a $140.95 rental fee for Loughridge Park Community Center.
Last year, when Hampton advertised a town hall meeting at Loughridge Park for residents in her district, she ran into a question of whether or not she would need to rent the facility at her own cost.
