Historical Society plans banquet

The 2015 Taylor County Historical Society Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, May 16, at the Perry Woman’s Club, starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now for $10 each (members receive a special discounted price of $5). Tickets are available at the Taylor County Historical Society and at Perry Newspapers, Inc.

The banquet will feature a special salute of America’s military in honor of Armed Forces Day (May 16) with uniform displays and local artifacts. Veterans will be recognized during the event.

The Wilson T. Hendry-W.H. Peacock History Award and W.T. Cash Scholarship Award will be presented during the program.
