City Council moves ahead with U.S. 19 appearance policy

With no one from the public present to speak for or against a new set of standards for properties that border U.S. 19, the Perry City Council unanimously approved the ordinance last week to put them in effect.

Similar to the appearance ordinance adopted for the downtown district, the proposed policy targets exterior property areas (vacant lots, etc.) as well as door and window openings on vacant buildings.
