    Library presents “Creme Brulee, the Easy Way”

    Chef Andrew Byrd will return to the Taylor County Public Library with his second workshop on the art of gourmet cooking on Thursday, May 7, at 6 p.m.

    The next part in the series is “creme brulee, the easy way.”

    “Learn substitutions and cheats that will impress your friends when you can instantly whip up creme brulee, Panama cotta, and flan from little to nothing when they thought there was nothing to eat in their fridge,” organizers said. “Andrew will be teaching the traditional way, as well as many variations: sorghum, vanilla bean, chai spice, botanicals and florals with peach and local honey, chocolate with Gran Marnier, cardamom and kumquat, matcha (green tea) and more.”
