3 charged in attack

Two Taylor County High School students and a 20-year-old have been charged with simple battery (a misdemeanor) in connection with an April 18 attack on another high school student while he was visiting a friend at Tidewater Apartments.

The State Attorney’s Office issued warrants for Howard Miller Jr., 18, Henry Jay III, 18, and Eric Joe Thompson, 20, Friday and all three were booked at the Taylor County Jail Sunday, May 10. Each was released on a $1,000 bond.
