Memorial Day ceremony planned Monday, May 25

Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland is coordinating this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park and invites all veterans, their families and the community to attend.

The ceremony will be held Monday, May 25, starting at 10 a.m.

Naval veteran Sheila Noles will be this year’s keynote speaker.

“Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and you are invited to join us as we take a few moments of our time to remember those individuals from Taylor County who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in our nation’s armed forces,” Southerland said.
