City: Perry’s ‘front yard’ needs help

The Perry City Council is asking the Taylor County Commission to join its efforts in improving the appearance of Highway U.S. 19, the community’s “front yard” as seen by travelers along the busy traffic corridor.

In a letter approved last week, the council asked the commission to consider adopting an appearance ordinance similar to one enacted within the city limits.
