Taylor County’s University of Florida Extension Office, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Taylor County Emergency Management Department will be hosting a Boater Safety Workshop on Friday, July 10, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Forest Capital
Park.
FWC officers will have two of their patrol boats at the site to demonstrate required boating safety gear and to teach participants about basic navigational and safety skills needed to safely operate a boat. The officers will also brief participants on the 2015 recreational fishing regulations.
