Celebrate the 4th of July in Steinhatchee with fireworks at 8:45 p.m. at the bridge, sponsored by the Steinhatchee River Chamber of Commerce.
The holiday festivities start at 6 p.m. with the annual mullet toss (sponsored by the Steinhatchee Projects Board) and will continue until the “show is over,” organizers said.
“Come watch the show from the community center and along the river.”
The bridge will close at 8:15 p.m. and the show will begin at dusk. Traffic will be re-routed to U.S 19. FWC personnel will also hold boat traffic back in the river.
